After Madison we entered the Glacier Drumlin State Trail. We cycled 55 miles on this limestone and gravel trail. The trails were scenic, some areas tree covered in shade, some in endless sun, some around lakes and swamps. After cycling on limestone and gravel for so many hours, I was dreaming of pavement.
We were also warned about the wild parsnip plants on the trail. The plant's poison juices could cause a burn and blistering if in contact.
Ten miles before our destination we stopped at a bike store called Bicycle Doctor. To my surprise, I saw their flamingo logo in stained glass!
You should make an offer on that flamingo stain glass---or make your own when you get home. How cool.
