July 22 - Cycling back to Quebec Ciry

What a difficult day. Our enemy was the 12-20 miles per hour winds, the humidity, and the temperature in the upper 80's. I felt as if I was pedaling uphill on the flat roads. Downhills were no longer fun since I had to pedal as if I was cycling uphill.  Pedaling for 5 1/2 hours is long for only 56 miles. We were excited to finally board the ferry and return to Quebec City.

Ice cream at the farmer's market was our reward after a long, strenuous day. A cyclist came along on his motorized bike and I wanted to try it out. This might have been a great option for today. However, the only drawback is that the motor weighs over 40 pounds.
