July 16 - Continuation of a Difficult Day to Jonquiere

When the carts are turned upright and added to the bikes, the carts carry kids and beach equipment. The beach section of the park is near the entrance and the fee is only $7.50
Bikers need to pay the same amount when entering the park but the fee is refunded on exiting if you are only in the park two hours while cycling the Blueberry Loop.

Our lunch stop lacked a picnic table but it didn't matter. Troy made sure that I had a cold glass of chocolate milk as an energy boost.  Ziva and I are smiling in this photo but those smiles gradually disappeared because the last five miles of the day took over an hour. The hills just kept coming and we needed to rest more often and hydrate. Just when we finally saw the sign for Jonquiere and finally could anticipate our arrival time, we could not believe our eyes - another hill to climb. The road was dangerous, the hill at least a third of a mile long and an estimated 15% grade. After an exhausting day, our bed and breakfast hosts greeted us with wide smiles and we collapsed in their beds.
