Today's ride was a fairly flat 75 mile ride, but the last 8 miles were a challenge as the construction crews were laying blacktop on the roads. By the time we entered Newcastle we were ready for ice cream at The Hop. The Hop is a place out of the fifties - wallpaper trim is above. The Hop had photos of all our old favorites - Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Sinatra, Benny Goodman and many more.
